o Abstract

Petaflops… to fifteenth degree.

The exhibition’s leitmotiv is about technological developments expected and happened and especially not happened ones: the digital flops and …flops, like failure as well.

Even if a recent news talks about the speed record reached by a supercomputer to break down the Petaflops barrier(FLOPS - Floating Point Operations Per Second peck which measures supercomputers speed), the new millennium opened with unhopeful perspectives, maybe unsatisfying.

Is the futuristic “age” we live in like we expected 50 years ago?
The third millennium without progress and teletrasportation…a big flop?
